What are your energy cooperation ambitions and expectations?

The municipality of Nyborg and the supply company cooperate in order to ensure an efficient supply of district heating based on surplus heating from industries in the municipality. We aim at expanding the number of industrial suppliers in the network. The overall focus is to be CO2 neutral within heating in the municipality by 2035.

What actions are you planning to fulfill your ambitions?

Through dialogue with end-users, the supply-company and industrial plants with surplus heat we will try to expand the district heating network to a larger area so more citizens can benefit from CO2 neutral district heating. In more sparsely populated areas we will look into energy efficient solutions.

What is your best practice regarding energy cooperation?

The best practice is the long-term cooperation with industries in the municipality regarding supply of surplus heat and the supply company. We have a state of the art infrastructure with intelligent digital monitoring. This experience and good practice forms the next step towards an energy efficient and CO2 neutral municipality.
